Species encountered are Tigers, Zambezies, Hammerheads, Ragged tooth, Copper Sharks and Blacktops. The summer months are best for the Zambezies, but in winter the Ragged tooth Sharks abound. This is one of the world’s most astounding massing of creatures. Each year millions of Sardines (Pilchards) start massing on their annual run off the eastern Cape coast. Birds follow this amazing phenomenon as it moves up the east coast of South Africa in a feeding frenzy of enormous proportions. It offers a once in a lifetime chance to view so many predators together. |
